Hi Pat!

Oh, I still have my Alpha Smart...hmm...maybe that's the answer. I also like your mantra about you controlling the internet - not the other way around.

Regarding A Deadly Blessing, you made my day...I wanted you to be scared and feel for the characters. I did my job! Thank you!

The Interrogation Room has become very popular. It's interesting to learn unusual stuff about the authors, isn't it?

Thanks for stopping by and giving me some possible remedies to my email issues.

Hi Janie!

I guess I think I might be missing some very important news if I don't check my emails. Usually, that's not the case .

Glad to know there are other middle of the night writers.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Kathy, suffering from insomnia, I found I did my best writing between 2 and 4:30 AM (EST or EDST. One of THEM! LOL). Miss those days. My problem is the Internet. My mantra, “I control the Internet, the Internet does not control me.” Now if I could just stick to that, I’d be fine. I try to practice ‘write first,’ Internet second, but I only success if I write on my AlphaSmart 3000, which is why I have one. No Internet, no games…must write.

I just finished A Deadly Blessing. Loved it. I was scared and I cried, but I can’t wait to see Maddie and Jade as partners in the next book. I have to remember to go post a review for you.

That's a great schedule. I work most days, too. And between my mom and babysitting for my daughter, my writing time is precious. I write late at night and some mornings. And I have to force myself to stay off the internet.

Hi Maria!

Welcome back!

Ha ha! The trick is to not let them know you're napping. Disappear and go sleep in your car.

Seriously, I'm guessing for those folks with a more traditional schedule, the choice would be to get up early.

I had a position (in the police department) that required me to be at work at 4:00 a.m. I used to get up at 2:30 a.m. (I'm a slow waker, and it takes a while to create 'my face.') So if I had a day job, I might try something like that...say get up at 3:00 a.m. or 3:30 a.m. You'd beat most the east coast before they got too active. The down side to writing before work is this: If you get on a roll, you have to stop and go to work.

If you write late at night, if you're on a roll, you can write late into the night and pay for it the next day...at work.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by and comment.

Hi Terese!

Welcome!

I'm thrilled at the progress I'm making on this new schedule. I do think that eventually I'll find a better solution, but you know what they say...If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope you'll visit again!

I am so jealous. This schedule would so work for me if it weren't for the pesky day job. They really hate it when I nap for a couple of hours during work hours. Otherwise, I'd be all over this schedule!

whatever works! your system sounds like a guilt-free way to see life from a new perspective. you are SO right, it's very important to force yourself to do the pages, no matter what the time. and if you get tired of these hours? you can always change them again ....

Hi Vicki!

Welcome back!

It's working now so that's a good thing. I'm loving it for the first draft. Not sure what will happen when I go to do revisions.

Thanks for stopping by and being supportive!
